Services offered include performing data collection, data cleaning, program evaluation and validation using a wide variety of analytic techniques.
Past projects include assembly and analysis of the Uniform Crime Report data, crime mapping, and the use of quasi-experimental techniques in order evaluate the effect of a given policy on criminal behavior. Familiar with a wide range of publicly available data, including data from the FBI, as well the BLS, BJS, NBER, and the U.S. Census Bureau. Have performed a number of validation and evaluation studies at the Federal, State and Local level.
I am proficient in a number of statistical programs, including SPSS, Stata, R and ArcGIS. Through my research experience I have become familiar with a broad range of complex data structures and coding issues present in administrative data including the UCR or other law enforcement data. I am also experienced in creating graphics which convey the results of elaborate statistical analyses in a meaningful and straightforward way.
